The drone has not been modified in anyway and has been kept up-to-date with the latest firmware, however I recommend a compass and IMU calibration before your first flight. The flight controller will connect to your chosen device via WiFi (no cables required) and the battery/flight controller charger is a generic replacement; far better at charging than the original DJI product. Please remember to download the DJI GO 4 App on your phone/tablet prior to powering the drone and controller On and please fly responsibly: following guidelines and laws.
